Sweet photo by Ken Duncan, of me at my animation desk at Disney Feature Animation, back in the day!
Hi! My advise to you and anyone who wants to be in this business is to keep drawing. Even when your drawings are terrible, keep at it. If you can, find a mentor/teacher who can guide you in the right direction. If you can’t, then follow animators and artist that you like online. Study their work, see what you like in their work. Is it the appeal in their drawing? Is it the detail and draftsmanship? Read books on composition, film, animation… And keep at it! It’s not easy, people stop, because of many reasons, but if you want it, then go for it and keep drawing! Good luck!
Drawing old school with a pen and paper! Here’s a drawing of my first celebrity crush, the lovely Lynda Carter!
Found this drawing that I made for the Gentlemen’s Drawing Club of the lovely Yvonne Strahovski!
Been busy with work, hopefully I’ll have more time for next months drawing.
